Previous Employee - ripped off

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Back when Pronto Online started up, I was fresh out of school. I knew Fergus, or as we called him "Neil", as a friend of a friend (whom I am still good friends with), and therefore found it easy enough to trust him. One day he wanted to show me his new website, Pronto Online. He soon asked me to join in listing products on the website. Hungry to please a friend, I agreed and started within a few days. It started off good, I was going to be paid on a per-product basis. So everything was pretty relaxed, I was allowed to talk to my friends as long as I was still getting work done. Then Neil said he would organize a contract. When he gave us the contract, we were going to be given something like $8 an hour. For every product we listed with a single mistake, we were not paid for that specific product. Ok, sure... We were young and didn't know much better so we went along with it. We were constantly pushed to get listings and it didn't take us long to regret our decision to help. We were given a quota of 60 products a day to list, leaving after a full days work with about 30-40 done, so we would work late into the night, until 3am on one occasion, with work the next day. Things got tense and Neil started telling us he wouldn't be able to continue at this rate, so we reviewed the contract. We thought we had come to an agreement that 60 products was too much. He told us we would re-evaluate the amount of products the next day, which we did. All day he pushed us to our limit, then at the end of the day he went through what we had done and told me most of what I had done is wrong and that I should not have rushed it. He would constantly change what he defined as a "proper" or completed product, forcing us to go back constantly and fix things or not get paid. In the end, our contract was terminated. I was paid about $2 an hour, excluding what I had done in my own time. My brother came out with about 50c an hour. It took me quite a few months to get paid for all this hassle, and my brother even longer. It doesn't surprise me at all to see he's gone to rip off clients. And given some information I've been made privvy to, we're not the only ones. Leave him in jail where he belongs. He obviously didn't learn his lesson the first time, make this one harder.

Goods paid, never delivered, no response..got refunded!!

I had purchased a blender on the Pronto Online website which was never delivered. Made numerous attempts to contact them via email, live chat, phone without any luck. I lodged a complaint with WA Dep. of Commerce, all they could do is send this so-called 'company' an email and wait for a response which they of course never did, so they decided they could do nothing. I got my money back eventually by contacting 'Skrill' via their contact form on the website, had a very friendly and professional reply and was refunded within 2 weeks. They too first contacted the seller without getting any response to try and resolve the issue but after failing to get a reply they decided the case to be resolved in my favour.

Skrill denied my request for a refund. I'm wondering why you were successful. Any tips?

After waiting for my laptop for a few weeks, I decided to check up on Prontoonline and found this site and this comment. I contacted Skrill and after a couple of emails, they are refunding my money. So thank you for this timely advice!

Purchased 10 pillows for $149 and they have as yet not arrived.

On the 05/04 /2014 I was trying to purchase 10 shredded memory foam pillows. Unfortunatly Graysonline where out of stock as i had purchased some previously from there site and was very impressed with them. As I scrolled down I saw that a company called prontoonline had them in stock and for a very reasonable price. So I went to ther site and ordered 10 and made a bank transfer to pay for them. I received an e-mail of verification so i felt it was a good deal. After waiting a few weeks I was wondering why they hadn't arrived so i went back to the prontoonline site to enquirer to what was happening. After a few days i hadn't heard or received any correspondence from prontoonline so I went through this process again a few more times. I wen looking for answers so I googled prontoonline and saw coplants site and read how 47 other people were in the same boat as me and had purchased items from them and they had not turned up.It is now the 30/04/2014 and I have contacted Stgeorge bank and spoke to them. I was speaking with them about my situation and was treated very well and now they have started a case to try to retrieve my funds. It is very frustrating thinking about these shonky companies ripping people off. I hope some how they are shut down and prosecuted we see all this sort of thing on television it is just sad that there are people out there doing this. Well thats enough of my complaints I just feel for everyone who gets roarted by this sort of thing. Peter Hopwood

Hi Liz,

I too have been stung by these *** at Prontoonline and also paid via Scrill. I contacted Scrill to see if they could stop payment, but I didn't hold much hope as it was nearly 3 weeks since I paid.

I am now happy to report that Scrill has refunded my money. I would advise you to contact them asap. They are based in UK. Their phone is +44 2035****62 Have all the details of your order with you when you ring.

They were really fantastic and I'm sure they will get your money back for you.

Good luck.

Doreen

Department of Commerce warns against dealing with prontoonline

I have been messed around by this *** as well, I can believe that this company is still allowed to operate after ripping of countless buyers over such a long time. It is good to see that the WA department of commerce recently issued the following statement in relation to pronto online: “While Consumer Protection considers further action against Mr Turner and Pronto Online, it is important that potential customers are warned not to deal with this trader until the current issues are resolved.” https://www.commerce.wa.gov.au/announcements/pronto-online-not-so-pronto Having an issue with pronto online? Why not contact them directly and make your frustration known! 089249**** 042563****

3 weeks and still no goods, have sent 3 emails, no answer

As i have stated above, i still haven't received my order and they don't answer any emails. i ordered my goods over 3 weeks ago, i have sent emails of my credit card receipt that clearly shows they have taken the money out yet nothing delivered as yet and absolutely no communication what so ever. *** service. Once this is cleared up i will most definately never deal with them again. I order lots of online goods and deliveries from China get here quicker than this lot and they get here, there isn't even a phone number on their web site to get in contact with them

Thankyou, have sent an email to skrill, hopefully they will help me out as well. He does not answer that mobile number, just goes to message.

I have had the same problem with the company. I contacted the company Skrill who processed my credit card payment and they have now credited me back with my money for the goods I never received. If you paid via the credit card option, email Skrill, they will investigate and if it seems to be a non delivery that will refund your money

Ordered and paid for a treadmill and received nothing!

Updated by user Mar 30, 2014

Hi all, Please contact the WA Department of Commerce. They already know about this problem.

Original review Mar 30, 2014
I am in the same boat as everyone else unfortunately! I purchased a treadmill about 2 weeks ago and paid straight away. I've been waiting 2 weeks now and was first told there was a mix up with the order and they would sort it out. I've had no response since and have made numerous call but the phone just rings out. Also no response to emails and the live chat is offline. I am a legal secretary and will be making some calls to officially complain to fair trading.. has anyone else contacted any departments? Please let me know so we can stop this guy. the more complaints the better so we can do something about him.

Pronto Online - Earrings Review from Sydney, New South Wales

I don't know why this company is still on line! I ordered some earings for my daughters wedding, I heard they were a scam but after speaking to the convincing man I went ahead and ordered and was assured I would receive my order within 4 days max! This was in feb, after many emails and messages, I finally made a complaint with shopping.com who were very helpful, they contacted him and he finally rang in march asking if I have received my earings as they sent them a few days ago, I said I haven't received anything so he said he'll refund me but I still haven't received anything and it's July! Don't order from these scammers

Prontoonline Complaint

I have purchased item from Prontoonline on 8-Apr-14 and made payment for the same but they did not delivered my items. Tried to contact them several times through email or online chat on their website but no answer. Please take appropriate action as many customers are pissed off because of such online product company which does not deliver goods after they receive payment. Apart from me several other customers might have made complaint for goods not being delivered. They promised to deliver within three to five days but nothing happens and you just keep on waiting for your goods. Thank you so much for your help.

Why do the Government Departments , such as ACCC and Consumer Affairs fail to close Pronto online down after so many complaints. Make one wonder!

Guest

I too have been ripped off.

Pronto online have a court enforceable undertaking which they disregard. WA consumer affairs does nothing - report failed orders direct to the WA police fraud squad

Maybe they will then take this *** to court

Products have not arrived after 1 month

Products ordered (Thomson portable micro Hi-Fi system) over 1 month ago (with delivery within 7 days) have not arrived and several emails have gone unanswered. Unanswered emails are not a good look. The promised excellent money back guarantee looks shaky. $59.95 looks like the fee I paid for the lesson rather than the product. I hope to have my faith restored with the arrival of the product. I would love to have my suspicions proven wrong. I think this is a scam organisation. Buyers beware is still a good warning. BUYERS BEWARE OF PRONTO ONLINE. BUYERS BEWARE OF PRONTO ONLINE.

Online purchase but item not delivered

Made an online purchase but it was never delivered. Made several phone calls that were never answered. Sent several emails, also no response. Made a complaint to consumer protection who said they tried to contact them but they received no response also, so the case was closed. It should not be that easy. Prontoonline (Fergus Patrick Turner) had an enforceable agreement under the Australian Consumer Law (WA) which he has clearly breached. Why is this not being enforced by a court? Anyone who has been ripped off by this man needs to notify consumer protection WA. Maybe if there are enough complaints, it will make it to court.

Pronto Online Australia - EPIC FAIL

FERGUS TURNER is the man behind Pronto Online Australia. We purchased a $300 treadmill 5th Feb. Waited about 10 days and after we still had not received notification of dispatch or any details about the tracking number we called numerous times and left many emails, only to be FINALLY responded by FERGUS TURNER - He proceeded to LIE, telling us he had just spoken to the courier and our delivery would arrive by Weds. I knew not to hold my breath. Nothing arrived. Still got no dispatch notification email nor a tracking number. We've been contacting them since Thursday morning - no such luck, naturally. Now we are another statistic to the HUGE and GROWING list of customers who FERGUS TURNER and PRONTO ONLINE AUSTRALIA have SCAMMED, LIED TO and STOLEN FROM. We are starting legal processes today. This man needs to be put in jail and the business needs to be shut down for good! This business is BAD NEWS!

No item, no communication, ripped-off

I ordered two wooden outdoor chairs from Pronto Online which I paid for by bank transfer as soon as I was emailed an invoice. I was never sent a receipt or any details of my purchase being shipped. I have emailed pronto on four occaisions asking for despatch details or asking for a refund if the goods cannot be supplied. I have attempted to rong & use live chat but cannot get a response. I shop online all the time & this is the first time I have ever been ripped off. Not only does it leave a filthy taste in your mouth but it makes it hard for genuine companies who do the right thing. In future I will research any new company I am considering dealing with or just stick to companies I have tried & tested. Disgusted to be in this situation.

AUD Invoice, greater GBP sum + charges taken from credit card

Instigated a transaction with Prontoonline for a small freezer for AUD199.95. Paid by credit card. Surprised to see a greater sum in GBP, plus currency conversion charges hit my credit card. Tried without success to contact Prontoonline by email and phone. Did some further research into Prontoonline and found that Fergus Patrick TURNER as a sole trader holds the ABN used on the Prontoonline documents and website. Read the blogs about Prontoonline. Contacted my bank and used the disputed transaction protocols under the Australian EFTPOS Code of Conduct to cancel the transaction as an unauthorized transaction. Bought another slightly bigger freezer for the same money. Keep the web free of scammers. Report tricksters and where you have paid by credit card use the EFTPOS Code to deprive them of the money.

Fergus Patrick TURNER owner of pronto online ABN: 132********. PO BOX 4218.

ALEXANDER HEIGHTS WA 6064...

Well this scammer continues to trade on line obviously ripping other unsuspecting decent folk.

I lost $60.00 to this low life after purchasing 3 toys for kid’s gifts from his website Prontoonline.com.au.

Alter paying for the 3 toys by credit card I noticed my account had been debited in GBP and an international traction had also had been deducted from my account.

After over 4 weeks i have still to receive my order.

Alter trying to contact this company by email and phone on numerous occasions, I am still waiting for this scammer to contact me. I think I can probably kiss my $60.00 good bye. After lots of googling yesterday i came across the name Fergus Patrick TURNER in the western Australian Court Attendance records. See below.

I doubt very much that the attendance is in regard to unpaid traffic fines. Daily Court Lists - wa.gov.au www.courts.dotag.wa.gov.au › Courts Home‎ At 09:15 in Court 5-1 before his Honour the Chief Judge ... (App to vacate hearing).

‘Pronto Online’ not so pronto- media statement from Consumer Protection WA

Consumer Protection has issued a warning about Pronto Online (www.prontoonline.com.au), operated by Fergus Patrick Turner of Parmelia. Pronto Online has been the subject of a high number of complaints related to orders taking an unreasonable length of time to arrive or not being delivered at all. In total, at the time of writing, Consumer Protection has received 117 formal complaints and 113 enquiries since September 2012 from disgruntled customers throughout Australia and one from the United Kingdom. This is contradictory to statements on their website which promise that 95% of orders are dispatched within 3 business days once payment has been made.
